The Fellowship in Sports Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (FSPR) is a 6-month postgraduate-level fellowship aimed at preparing physiotherapists to work with athletes and active populations by enhancing their skills in assessment, management, injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance optimisation.

Who can join physiotherapists: (BPT/MPT) with clinical experience

Mode: Combination of online learning + face-to-face workshops//practical sessions.

3. Modules (Typical Core Content)

Foundational Knowledge
  • Sports physiotherapy principles & scope

  • Biomechanics, movement analysis, and functional anatomy

  • Exercise physiology and conditioning

Advanced Assessment & Clinical Skills
  • Musculoskeletal assessment of sports injuries (spine, extremities)

  • Special tests and diagnostic reasoning

  • Biomechanical evaluation & movement screening

Rehabilitation & Injury Management
  • Injury prevention strategies

  • Strengthening & conditioning protocols

  • Return-to-play rehabilitation planning

Manual and Therapeutic Techniques
  • Manual therapy (e.g., mobilisation with movement, soft tissue work)

CPD (Continuing Professional Development) 250

Duration: 6 months course period is standard for FSPR programmes.
