SPEFL-SC is a not-for-profit organization formed by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The council has been promoted by National Skill Development Corporation & Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). The SPEFL-SC fills the gap between the skill ecosystem and industrial demand. SPEFL-SC plays a crucial role in bringing together all the stakeholders, including industry, labour, and academia, to make sure that the industry is equipped with skilled and effective workforce.

The National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) is a system in India that organizes qualifications based on a series of levels to facilitate skill development and vocational education. These levels help individuals understand the complexity and depth of knowledge and skills associated with different qualifications.

Level 1: This is the entry-level where a person acquires basic knowledge and skills. It corresponds to the 8th, 9th, and 10th grades of school education. | - |
